    This is pretty cool considering that they've just added a Destruction Derby mode, should be fun for the cars at least (boats, & planes don't have telemetry output at the moment & most likely never will).

    It's also a great opportunity to test the SimTools plugin with zero risk.

    Since the Wreckfest plugin no longer works (and I don't have the smarts to do the update myself) The Crew 2's destruction derby mode should be a nice alternative. :)

    Does anyone know which version of The Crew 2 this plugin was developed for?

    It's offered on both Steam and the Ubisoft Store (Uplay).

    I ask because sometimes games are updated differently depending on the platform they use.

    I'm not sure if that would make a difference, but better safe than sorry should someone decide to buy it based on having the plugin work properly.

    BTW, it's also the same deal at the Ubisoft Store, free to play for the weekend plus a similar discount.

    The plugin is based on an official API from the developer. So I guess it will work on any version.

    So earlier today I decided to give the plugin a quick test to see if it works....and.....

    IT DOES!!!!!

    Thanks for taking the time to make a plugin for what is essentially a pretty silly game, but a riot to play.


    It looks like if you install the Steam version it also automatically puts it into the Uplay launcher as well, giving the capability to launch with either client.

    6hrs later I've finally stopped playing, and my face hurts from all of the laughing (my butt hurts even more from all of the bouncing around in the rig).

    I'm quite impressed with how the game allows for multiple controllers to be active at once, which means a wheel setup can be used for the driving portions (with motion) and an XBox gamepad can be picked up to play the planes, boats, etc (no motion).


    Your plugin works fantastic, and the demolition derby part of the game is a nice motion-enabled substitute for Wreckfest.

    Such as shame that the Wreckfest dev's don't offer telemetry output, but such is life. :(

    Does your motion rig gets crazy when approaching to a event (speedtrap for exemple)? Looks like the data that the game send is wrong! I almost have to use seat belt to dont get kicked from rig o_O

    A little bit, not too bad though.

    It would all be relative to how much motion you have your rig set with as well.

    I'm running around 25% on each axis, and around 50%-75% overall strength for the game in Game Manager...but I'm still tweaking.

    Since it's an arcade racer, I don't have it set too high, as the motion would be far too extreme and tiring.

    Then again, my first test with The Crew 2 lasted for 6hrs.


    There's another arcade racer called "Split/Second" which also has a motion plugin.

    In regards to my above post:

    If anyone is looking for a similar style of arcade racer for their motion simulator, I'm happy to report back that "Split/Second" still works great.

    The camera views are limited to only 2, chase & bumper, but there's plenty of Michael Bay-style carnage.

    Not bad for only $8 CAD, pretty fun stuff!
