    I have the simulator working properly, but my wiper motors have worn out fiber gears.

    What new engines do you recommend? ?

    I am using this wheelchair motor.
    Very powerful and I do not think you could break the gear train.
    A set comes with a left and a right sided drive.
    Here in the US people sell broken chairs for $50 and under.
    Many have defective control boards and are not worth repairing.
    Check your donation type stores.
    This is the one I am using on a 2dof chair.

    Thanks, I've seen some second-hand, here in Spain, I think it's the best option for me, just find one of 24v.

    the motors i have are very similar

    the rpm after the gearbox is approx 60 rpm

    You need like 300 to 500 w on my opinion

    I agree with gadget999.
    24volts x 10 amps is 240 watts
    I think you will draw up to 20amps at the motion start-up.
    Wheelchair motors most likely retail for about $300 USD
    The construction of the ones I use are extremely robust.
    I believe you would snap a shear pin before you would damage the gear train.
    I was able to measure the rpm and the output was 160 rpm
    The motor was running about 3300 rpm.
    I would guess the weight of each motor at 10kg.
    You can use the Kp setting in SMC3 to help adjust the speed if it jerks you around too much.

    The only complaint is slop or backlash in the gears.
    It comes with this type of motor. My motors have 4 gears in the train. About half of the total backlash is actually built into the way they machined the shafts. I am not sure why they did that but it appears to be on purpose....

    If he has the keyed wheel hubs that fit on the output shafts get them also. I used the hubs to attach my output levers..

    Here are some pictures. The black hub has a large slot cut into it to allow the aluminum lever to fit in to it. The flexible coupler attaches the HAL Effect pot to the output shaft. An aluminum bar supports the pot and attaches to the T-Slot extruded aluminum which is then mounted to the chairs base. The aluminum bar is covered with a high density foam protective cover. There is a large rubber foot that attaches to the end of the output lever.     thank you, I already have the engines at home, I bought some pieces of steel to make the anchors and adapt my potentiometers hall, I will put pictures of the process, both here and in my construction thread of the simulator.

    My new engines have 4 connections, +, - and two neutral, which I think are good for braking, but I have to finish looking at it well.
