It looks promising, although the pedals look too close together for my liking. Don't know enough about it to get involved atm, but will keep an eye on it. Thanks for the posting!

Would not want to spoil your Xmas :), therefore have decided to limit myself to posting updates just to my thread, no correspondence. Sad, but it is the PC world that we live in and I'm not going to change for anyone, so if I don't comment - no one should be offended :).

    YouTube comments quote -
"It has 350w 12 Nm custom motor, 262,144 PPR and about 300 RPM max speed. An answer on facebook from their ceo."

Is anyone pre-ordering this for 388?

And I just asked in FB about this, hope he wont mind -

"Regarding tech specifications, we have stripped out the numbers because we are still tweaking/optimizing the device and they can change in some degree. So we decided not to publish them until product launch.
But what I can say is that the torque is roughly 7 times more than something like G27 or T500.
We intend to launch a crowdfunding campaign at the beginning of 2018. So you can pay as a backer and choose pledge you want."

FYI all the pub of them appearing and demoing at real sim shows doesn't really matter, they could spend X amount on a build, pay for a place at an event and advertise a Y amount sale price, what matters is true end product/pricing.

The cost is definitely possible, recall that we source our components via public knowledge, sites like alibaba are not the lowest prices possible. If they are able to design their own motors and source cheaper manufacturing/supply chain (as they have stated they have), there is no reason that they can't make 100% profit, including on the early bird pricing. Manufacturers initial pricing can be tied to the growth and response they receive via crowdfunding, many variables here.
As market is 1k for 10nm+ there is no business sense for them to drop MSRP much below 800, 20% cheaper than competing products. OSW motor prices are all based around known/easy to work with motors with boards/ION/etc.

All that being said, they have early bird where you can sign up and DO NOT PAY...so it does no harm, use a spam email account if you are concerned. When it comes time to pay, they deliver or you charge back.

Unlike pimax 4k, which bombed as a product but somehow (marketing genius) yielded massive funding for the 8k version. People have forked out money already for that product.

No risk here until it comes time to pay, so I'll be waiting till it's time to pay, and
    1) read terms
1b) if it's paypal only - nope, only if they take a CC, paypal is notorious for screwing over sellers and buyers
    2) if product isn't delivered, charge it back as it totally normal for failure to provide product
    3) if product is bad, send back/charge back
    4) product is good keep

Basically, no need to speculate, just do steps 1-4 (#1 especially in case they are shady and say it'll take pi max time to ship ;))

Got this email from feel vr team yesterday:

    Hey everyone,

The last few months have been crazy for us. We've been working day and night to prepare for our Kickstarter launch, constantly making adjustments and improvements to our product. After doing a ton of testing and attending SimRacing Expo in Germany, we've received some incredible feedback. So, we implemented some new features to Feel VR, which means we had to recalculate manufacturing costs.

Our goal has always been to be affordable, but without compromising quality. So we're sticking to our motto. We want to give you guys the best possible product, for the best possible price.

We also did some more in-depth cost calculations to make sure we're not one of those Kickstarter campaigns that don't deliver the product as promised. We're in this for the long run.

The new pricing is as follows:

    Pedals:

    • Early Bird: $149
    • Regular: $199
    (Retail will be $299)

    Wheel:
    • Early Bird: $399
    • Regular: $449
    (Retail will be $669)

    Wheel + Pedals:
    • Early Bird: $549
    • Regular: $599
    (Retail will be $899)

In other news, we've decided not to limit the quantity of Early Birds. What does that mean? You've got a full 48 hours to purchase Feel VR at Early Bird prices once the campaign launches! To sign up for updates and to learn more, visithttp://get.feelvr.game. We appreciate your support so far, and we can't wait to finally share Feel VR with you all.

    Sincerely,
    Feel VR Team
