Testing the acer vr headset (yes microsoft mixed):
    1) ghosting while moving head around is REAL and undesirable...does not always happen, but it definitely does
    2) works similar to leap motion with VR headset in that when controllers are out of view, they are not tracked, and need to reconnect. leap actually reacquires vr hands faster than the MS vr controllers (not going to call their marketing fubar mixed, it's vr).
Example, say playing a shooter dead and buried or any other game where crouched (or not crouched, say FPS games) and you have a SHOT or attack go one direction while looking another, both Microsoft's implementation and Leap *may* both fail, and often do. Vive/Oculus work here. Leap VERY fast requisition, while MS had a stutter effect.
***Again, not everyone plays games and uses peripheral vision to such an extent, but I do often, and this doesn't work for me, it's less life connected, and constrains possibilities.
    3) VR space like steamVR home/Oculus home....SteamVr still best, windows has some VERY frustrating User Experience flaws like scrolling through menus, clicking, selecting and others.
    4) oculus controllers still the best ...only controller available that is ergonomic and allows for a relaxed hand, vive and ms both poorly implement flexed and anticipated finger/grip, like a regular mouse does. Leap would be the best if its tracking didn't fail and all games worked with it.
    5) cheap feeling controllers....seems weird to mention it, but probably because of all the negative points that distract from immersion, this is apparent
    6) same price as a 2 camera oculus touch setup. better to pay $50 more for oculus or a couple hundred more for vive. No benefit here other than no camera setup, but who cares if the implementation is poor and you can't play games you want to, YES MS requires the same spec computers as a rift/vive for similar experience. the low end recommendations are silly and will suffer from even more performance issues.

    more info...
    7) Fogs fast compared to oculus for me, guessing that has to do with sealing so well
    8) all the talk about "peripheral" vision...well imagine navigation, this is normal user use, where the control may be at hip level...looking at the screen, selecting things, well, it loses vision, users having to hold up the control out of the comfort zone is odd
    9) the flip feature is obviously nice, but on this headset it makes such a ratcheting sound, I thought I broke it the first time :)
    10) setup is just as time consuming as other vr, the roomscale setup was actually a bit odd as a first timer, just like it would be on a rift/vive, and even as a repeat setup, there are sometimes qwerks on any config
    11) the MS store does hold potentional...
    12) havent looked into it yet, but found it odd that by default there is no IRL control of app selection, like viewing the oculus store/vive or steam APP IRL. by default the MS app just shows a HMD, there are buttons on the left I haven't looked into, and don't know if I will, not impressed here, so posting the current experience in case I don't try it out more

    13) the usb /hdmi cable is ridiculously short at the Y connector, meaning that your HDMI/USB ports need to be very close...as a VR user we understand NOW that we need wireless adapters or extensions cables that actually work, especially with oculus poor 1.3 hdmi implementation. HOWEVER, for someone new to VR and finding this out after purchase...well many people wouldn't be playing on xmas morning :(
14)the OPTICS - I'm not sure of the intent here, but across microsoft vr headsets, the lenses blur at the outside edges...only figure on a) cheap b) use an excuse that trying to emulate natural vision, where what you look at is in focus, and peripheral does not appear to be....
in any case it is not natural in a bad way and distracts from the experience
    15) +++the darkness inside the headset SEEMS really nice, but the advantage is outweighed by the fog as previously mentioned
16)no gradual natural trigger mirroring in software...when slowly depressing a trigger on rift touch, the action is mirrored wonderfully in software, the simple ON / OFF 0/1 state with microsoft is another disconnect from a good VR feeling
    17) ++++ The ease of picking this up with the controllers and throwing it into a bag VS rift cameras and Vive lighthouse can not be understated. HOWEVER....that's no good if the experience does not compare, and this certainly does not

Yeah the PIMAX did some shady (read: clever) marketing as far as the 4k goes, it'll be interesting to see how 8k pans out...and compatible hand/feet/whole body tracking
