Never cared to measure it, but I do have a video - with a G-seat/tensioners enough for me :).

Yeah I still need to add a G-seat and tensioners. This coming winter I hope.

I'm wondering, do you think this plugin would work with Nolo in SteamVR? I mean, if it can use a Nolo controller for the compensation data and the Nolo HMD tracker same as Vive....... I'm now looking for a motion compensation solution for me to use with Pimax 4K.

Pimax has drawbacks, but many say it is the best option for DCS flying in VR since you are mostly looking at distant objects. I will be testing in a few days and reporting back.

Nobody knows eh? I'm thinking that if it works with Oculus, maybe it works with any tracked hand controller SteamVR is handling?

I just got my NoloVR to test this, but I cant test until the Pimax arrives. I'll be sure to report after testing, hopefully by late Monday night.

Thank you for this great job!

I already can configure the motion cancellation without problems.

    It's works perfect with:
    Asseto Corsa
    NoLimits 2

I can not make it work with:
    LFS
Project Cars (purchased from the oculus store)

If I make any progress I will comment.

Not sure if i'm doing something wrong but when I try to use motion cancellation and I move my chair to left or right (no motion sim atm) . I see the screen gradually turning black.(black screen border) as if im getting out of the viewport
Its as if the world is not generated completely around me. Anyone have an idea?

Moving the head to look left or right is ok. but turning my chair on itself will make the screen black.
    I'm doing a 360 motion sim
    I have CV1

EDIT: I also got a Vive now and there is no issue with it. So only Rift seems to be affected.

    Hi @SilentChill

I'm trying this kind of motion cancellation on my rig. But have the same issue with my oculus rift. I only play elite dangerous.

So in steamVR everything seems to be work , hand-controller Mounted on the rig. If I shake the controller the VR image react. So I guess it's working.

When I'm enter into elite the motion cancellation stops and seems to be that the mounted controller goes into sleep mode or shut down, I don't know.

When I'm exit elite back to steamVR function there again.

    Can you help ?

Is it in general possible to play elite via steam and this kind of nice software to cancel unwanted motion ?

    Best,
    Kermit

Hmm I dont have this issue, only thing I can suggest is to make sure that the sensor can see the controller at all times. You need to make sure that Elite is running in openVR and not using the Oculus runtime.

Other than that I cant really say too much more.

How can I switch off the oculus runtime to use the openVR ?

I have a 2dof seat move with Oculus and the sensors are fixed on the desk.
The movement feels great, is there any benefit in my case for using this software?

No, because motion cancelation works with a vive tracker back on seat...

You will hardly notice the lack of motion cancellation on sims with small, fast and precise axis movement. But the larger the axis movement the greater the need for motion cancellation, such as 6DOF Stewart rigs, though @SeatTime uses a powered gimbal on his 6DOF with a Rift instead, though that did not work so well for @SilentChill who has gone with motion cancellation using the Rift and Revive.

Motion cancelation is MADE for vive.

I believe so but I'd really like to know if anyone has heard of progress in other areas. I heard SteamVR might include it as standard but as an Oculus user it still has the problem of conversion overhead from openvr to oculus sdk. I'd just better hope Pimax 8k delivers so I can ditch the Rift, as Oculus don't seem to be interested in pushing the envelope, just signing up 1 billion people on mobile headsets.
