    Hello Everybody,

You can find my different tests of the motion platform 3DOF on my YouTube Channel.

Now, I try to find the adjustments of the simulator with Simtools.

Please give me your global feeling about the simulator

    It makes pretty good
The movements are not too brutal to my taste
    just fine for rally

Great to see your rig in action and the range of its axis movements :thumbs

Personally I feel pitch and surge are being over emphasised and heave needs to be emphasised more to better reflect the road surface.

A comparison on road surfaces like Nordschleife and Monza with Assetto Corsa would be nice, as rally may be the focus but is not necessarily the best thing to dial in precise movement.

But in the end it is your choice as to how you want to configure your simulator and some people really like large axis movements.

GOOD JOB @Playsimulator ... Pretty cool simulator .

Q- How did you managed to have a soft motor start to center position when turning the contactor switch ON ?

    Thanks in advance ...

    Imagine 3 positions -90°(Down) 0° (Middle) +90°(Up)

    For initialization:
There is a switch in the lower part of the cams (-90°).
When I power on the simulator the cams turn (Anti-clockwise) to find the contactor.

After finding the switch (Dry contact) the cams make an offset of 90 °. Like this the cams are at the postion 0°.

I manage this with the Arduino UNO.

I added a emergency button to manage the parking position. (-90°). Like this, at the end of the game, I put the button to be lower to go down of the simulator.

Very impressive rig! Just shows how much there is to know - I was thinking of 3 DOF as seat risers with traction loss but this is just as compact and with true heave. Plus, this design might be easy to modify to add traction loss.

It looks really great and congrats!
