WOW! Very nice. The red part, is it gel coat, top coat or just paint? How do you smooth the PLA? ABS is easier... It looks fantastic!

The red head surround is an actual headrest although it would be good to have it drawn up for 3d printing.

So haven't posted in a while. As this project has been on the back burner. But im back on it now

A few pictures below in no particular order

    seat back.png
View of the seat from the back of the monocoque im currently working on a supportive frame for the seat .Eventually I will add a seatbelt(maybe as far as a seat belt tentioner) and a tactile transducer to the back of the seat. Below a view of the seat from the front of the cockpit.

    seat.png
The motion frame with some additional pieces the follow the shape of the monocoque. I will cover this with some plywood and maybe some black vinyl eventually. The idea being is that I will secure the monocoque to this platform with bolts.
    floor.png
Marking up the plywood prior to drilling . Luckly the cockpit has a center mould mark which has made it easier to line up in the center of the platform

Prior to securing the monocoque to the platform I will do another weight test to determine how for forward/back the monocoque is placed in relation to the actuators and the rear pivot.

Managed to pick up an ex force india T tray with bardge boards still attached. With a slight bit of modification this would fit. Although they may get in the way of climbing in and out of the cockpit so haven't decided if I will use them . barge boards.png 11.png
