    Thank you for your replies.

You are shipping from which country? Is it within EU? I am asking this due to custom charges.

As for the tilting while the power is off, I was thinking if I could 3d print some supporting structures to put under the front levers to stop the tilting. Do you think it would help?

    Shipping from Ukraine.

I think this is a temporary solution, the plastic will not stand for a long time.

See how in this video, the guy attached a monitor behind the wheel! I want to check w/ and see if this is even possible with a light weight LCD and a counter balance behind/below the seat.

P.S. in case if the video can't show, search "Тест-Драйв 2dof - монитор" in youtube

I was able to mount a heavy LCD screen to my sim without the need for a counter weight, and so far it has stayed fairly secure to the sim. IMG_20170310_221710.jpg

Can you take some pic on your monitor mount and show me how you secure on the plate?

How do you like it comparing to a status mounted monitor?

when my kit arrive, I will try to use spring to counter balance it instead of adding actual weight.

Since this dynkit has most of the component on top, once it starts to drop(forward or backward), the weight on that side increase a great deal... just like standng a motorcycle straight is ok, but it gets heavier and heavier if it's tilted to one side

I am looking at get the DOF Reality 3d. I like flight sims with the occasional Race, are there any videos showing how the rig works with flight sims?

When a seat has been fitted, how much movement is there when the rig is powered off? I was hoping to still use the chair when surfing the net etc..

There is no movement when it is powered off.

Just wondered whether the springs solved your traction loss gearing slack. I'm hitting the same jerky action with flight sim yaw.

I'm also interested in the 6DOF, though having invested in the 3DOF it would be great if you made a heave/surge upgrade for it. Surge could be done with roller bearing runners under the seat mounting and a motor working the way the yaw motor works. Heave is probably best done like a G Seat for this add-on, if you could make some compact steel panels that could be fit under a seat cushion.

If I can come up with a compact design I might try both of these myself - is the DOF Reality gear hackable - add on 2 more motor outputs and use the base code?

Unfortunately not yet, 6DOF requires more knowledge from customers and it will increase support requirements, we are not ready yet.

I don't see easy way to add Surge or Sway to the current model, but I think in future we can make heave/yaw add-on for 2/3DOF version.

Actually i think what might work best as an upgrade option for your 3Dof is a g-seat to add heave and surge. In fact i'm working on plans of my own, but if you made an affordable version i'd be very tempted. Surely it could use the same electronics and control box? There is the power issue but perhaps you could handle that with software - dampen down some movements if too much power is drawn to too many motors at once.

Is anyone else using the dofreality platform getting a mismatch between virtual axis and physical? The test is easy - just set the pitch dof to match 100% to your axes for Default in axis mapping, then go to output testing and move the slider to 50%. When i do that my platform moves 100% to its full reach.

radioproffi - Any news on how long it would take to implement a heave/yaw add on?

Yaw is included with the DOF3 - just map traction loss to Extra3. Heave is a different matter. I'm actually getting a good heave sensation from mapping small quick pitch movements to heave. Its great when landing. I haven't tested it with turbulence. Personally I now think the best upgrade to this 3DOF would be a G-Seat. It would be amazing if @Radioproffi would make one of those. With a G-Seat you get a persistent sense of surge and heave, allowing a feeling of gravity pressing you into your seat on a tight turn or prolonged acceleration in a fast jet. Even a 6DOF can't do any of those.
