I have both the Vive and Rift, though it is the Rift that does sim duties and the Vive that I use for roomscale.

I have been crazy busy for months now so have very little play time, but you know me, Nords is my go to track!

I'm going to have just about no free time until this semester's done, but after that I'd be game :p

Nords trackday would be my choice as well

@Pit in the past had offered a dedicated server for AC. why not we all contribute for paying the server this time and have our ''xsimulator league'':cheers

Nice approach! There is only one issue I discovered when opening an AC server: EU, US or AU? F.eg. if EU, all members from over the "lake" have a very high ping (over 100) which makes mp racing just a bit annoying (better known as flying cars under some circumstances lol).

Yes, can be problematic for areas with a not so good Broadband connection and was the reason I gave up on IRacing. Competitors cars use to just disappear/re-appear all the time - impossible to race. Although, not far off having a new NBN (National Broadband Network) connection :) - so may try again after that happens (no guarantees as it will be a fibre to the node (cheap shit Government)) .

I know what you mean, mine is ADSL 1 on a dicky spur line and NBN is not an option, despite being just outside one of the initial roll out location St Helens.

i agree with you but i think we can find a solution if we have a lot of members participating from all over the world.

i was on the same boat but thank god they upgraded recently the NBN and now i can have a decent speed

ADSL 1? i was on ADSL2 and had 3Mbit from the 24Mbit and at some threads here with a lot of pics it was struggling to open the page.i will not mention about more than one device connected to the net, total disaster.

Same, I often ask people to use thumbnails as it just kills a thread loading with full size images. It is a good day when I get 1.2Mbit.

It depends on the person and your expectations.

The best thing to do is try before you buy. Some stores run demos or you could ask on the reddit.com VR subs and some enthusiast in your area would likely provide an opportunity to try VR.

I was in the media market today and have play 10 minutes with the HTC Vive . It is nothing for me. When I think that and the Motion Rig, than I need a bucket next to seat!!!

Some people will always be sensitive to driving sims in Gen 1 PC VR, as so much is moving at once.

That said fast accurate motion will likely reduce sim sickness because it gives additional cues your brain expects, while a poor motion profile or slow sim will cause a further mismatch and make people feel off pretty quickly.
