Ok i've been searching the web for some decent OSW FFB settings for Dirt Rally and there are very few out there so i thought i'd start this thread so we can share our settings and eventually create the ultimate FFB for DR . :grin

If your new to OSW or Dirt Rally you'll need to connect your wheel to the game ,
    https://chippedwood.wordpress.com/2...-finally-has-support-for-direct-drive-wheels/

Also bind your wheel like this ,( from jason jordarski on iRacing)
To bind your wheel in DR you will need to do it so it shows up like , not Left/Right.

To do this first turn the wheel 1/2 turn CW then click "Steer left" and turn the wheel CCW (it should show up as Inverse X-axis)

Then turn the wheel 1/2 turn past center in the CCW direction and click "Steer right" and turn the wheel CW (it should come up as X-axis).
    ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Also if your having problems saving your wheel and button settings everytime you boot up the game ,,like i did ,,,go to in game My Profile and selecting Player Settings and then click save profile keeps the wheel settings.

Oh and make sure you set your wheel and pedal deadzones to zero.
    ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

These Granity & MMos settings i got from Jason Jordarski on iRacing ,,,,the only thing i changed was the TBW upto 3300Hz

I'm using small mige + ioni pro hc : simucube

These are my in game FFB settings although drop Self Aligning Torque to 70

These setting feel pretty good to me ,,,if anyone can improve on them or has some other cool settings of their own i'd be happy to see them,,,, :thumbs

@stevemontuno can you save a granity profile as i didnt fancy having to keep changing that when i changed a game. I tried the MMos settings and the in-game settings you showed but leaving my granity how is has been set up for assetto and its terrible. the wheel felt really cheap and coggy like a toy wheel, but had so much torque i nearly broke my wrist when it snapped. Thats me done for the day lol. Im not to great at that game anyway

@crammy yep you've got to change settings in Granity ,,,,,,,,open Granity and on the connection page there is an option to save your profile just like there is in MMos ,,,, and when youve put the Dirt Rally setting in,,save those too so you can swap over when you want,,, :thumbs

I created a Granity FFB folder in my documents and saved them to that.

How do MMos and Granity save their default profiles?
Just wondering if a little app could be built to swap them out.
not sure if it would work anyway to be honest.

In mmos you have to save to eprom and default for it to load. you can also make config files.

Just wondering is there no kind of profile manager that automatically loads specific settings when a game is launched like Logitech Profiler that would make life simpler.

That would be nice. I haven't seen anything like this out there yet. Maybe the cube firmware will have something.

Yeah that would be really cool to assign profiles in granity and Mmos to automatically load when you start a game,,,,

These are the settings i'm using at the moment,,, they are Tomo's granity & MMos settings with my in game FFB settings ,,adjust the Self Aligning Torque slider for stiffer or lighter wheel but it's set pretty nice as is . @crammy for the large mige use Tomo's granity settings that your simucube came with :thumbs

thanks @stevemontuno ill Give that a try tonight. I tried your previous granity settings last night and is was under powered for me. the wheel was quite loose, however i will give these ago as you have upped the current. my settings from tomo were different in the granity, being large MIGE and i had about 18A continuous and 19A max. it is definatly that current that makes a difference. when i run on Tomos setting on that game i nearly broke my wrist but its perfect on assetto.

@crammy yep if you use tomo's granity settings and pop those MMos + game FFb in ,,then just adjust the game ffb Self Aligning Torque slider for your wheel strength .

lol i run at 25amps mmc and 24.950amps mcc. i am usually sweating after each session. I adjust the in car for most games rather than in granity. cant wait for the 30amp ioni. no more overdriving the servo on high torque cars. theres only a couple in iracing that induce clipping with the big MIGe but one of my favorites the dallara clips at anything less than 29 nm through high downforce turns.. Clipping causes loss of detail, the servo is still pulling but you dont get the detail, its just clipped. same happens when trying to overdrive the small mige. this is why overdriving the servo is not recommended. it can easily handle the power but it clips the detail.

@bruce stephen They are the settings that were set up on granity when i purchased the wheel. I have not played with it yet until i get the better understanding of what everything does and how the settings work together. I did change to the 7A setting as posted but it had no feeling. With the 18A and 19A combo i have in granity, if the car is set to 100% in assetto (in game) i cant physically turn on a corner as the wheel just hardly moves. I guess its a mixture of various settings. In dirt i let go with one hand, the wheel spun with so much torque and speed i honestly thought i had broke my wrist.

Could you explain what clipping is mate, as i havent got a clue lol.
