Nearly finished with the game room.

The vinyl still haven't arrived :-(

Disasembled the sim and got it painted.

Bought some rubbermat for the floor, or will be glued when I am finished with wiring and vinyl.

Finally the led fan and some of the 3d carbon vinyl arrived. I think it's pretty cool as its not printed but made in 3d so the texture looks and feels ok.

    Almost finished :)

Made the armrest/shifter mount with 10mm memory foam - it's really nice and soft :)

Bought a creative t6300 5.1 surround set, I'm really impressed with the sound!

Didn't want a full size keyboard mounted, but found this mini keyboard on eBay for about 10$ the touchpad is not the most responsive in the world, but for navigating in games and such it works like a charm.

Make sure to turn down the Rear speaker volume or you'll be getting a Very Uneven 5.1 setup.

I know :) I thought it looked good there, and I tested that the speakers wasn't so close together that I couldn't separate left from right.

I have added a Handbrake from a Ford Mondeo, used the switch to connect to a USB Num pad, which doubles as controls for in game seat controls.

The lcds are showing JRK and motor temperatures, the wiper motors rarely exceeds 45 degrees C.

The buttons shows error and running state of the JRKs, and doubles as reset buttons.[IMG]

Had to build a Time Crisis Arcade machine as i could not afford a real one :think Made out of MDF, an old 28" B&O television and a Playstation 2.
I have build in a fridge, took the peltier from an old car cooler, and off course it has cupholders ;)
    Still needs a little work.

And what is a gameroom without Street Fighter!
Build out of MDF, and old 19" monitor and a Pandoras Box 4 Jamma board with 645 classic arcade games... Made the design my self, but the drawings are made from some pretty talented guy named Steve Stanley, stanleyart.com

Initially I thought it would get boring within a month or two, but I actually finds myself in the seat several times a week:)

The wiper motors holds up fine and are virtually silent, it has been used a lot of hours and by a lot of people and everything holds up fine and never goes into error:)

The wheel and pedals are adjustable, the youngest one to try was a 3½ year girl and the oldest my 70 old father - the both had a lot of fun :grin

I used the Christmas to upgrade a bit:

    I5-6600K
    GTX 970

    - and a HTC Vive!

It's really amazing to play in VR! I tried it some 20 years ago, but that was a pretty different experience, couldn't find any store nearby where i could try it out, but found a used Vive for a great price, went there, tried it and brought it home:)

A none-expected side affect is that Dirt Rally seems to be a lot easier now :)
pCars is still not a great game though....

I choose the Vive as the used prices are similar and I would like to have touch controllers and roomscaling, which is really amazing! It has never been more fun (or scary) to hunt zombies!

It is! I had a friend trying it Sunday, Monday he went out and bought one :D
Some of the games look a little like you are 10 years back, but the immersion makes you forget it. Fast!

The most amazing thing in simracing is how hills now are much more appearing, as in MUCH more:)

Is there a way to see FPS in steam? Other than the thingy that pops up if it runs to slow?

    To show
To show FPS open SteamVR Settings -> Performance and at the bottom click on Display Frame Timing.

To show the graph in VR check the box Show In Headset. The graph will then attach to the controller in VR, but you need to look at the underside of the controller to see it.
