Hello, I have no skills and only a little knowledge - my apologize in advance.

I don´t know if someone already build up something like this and if not - why.

Red color - motor with rod

when you turn you move with pedals and wheel
when you break or accelerate only chair is moving (it seems more realistic to me)

Is it worth of realization or it is just a crap? scheme.jpg

I think two motors is not enough.

Although it depends on the required parameters.

Even if it will be well balanced? Could two 300 W motors be enough?

For motor a seat - one may be enough. But you will have greater offset the center of gravity by tilting to the side.

This is great advice, you've already sketched it out, thats step one, but actually building it in small scale and testing it out is great for your first sim, especially with something a little out of the normal seat shaker. I will be starting my small scale build as soon as my RC servos get here from China.

Sensation wise SimTools can mix the sway/roll surge/pitch axis pretty well on the fly, so I don't think you gain much for the additional build complexity and a single motor on the sway/roll axis would have to be very powerful on a full frame rig.

But if you want to have a play around it is a good idea to first build a model of an untested design, here is some information on how to do that: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/build-a-working-model-to-test-your-design-ideas.216/

    Hi Skorojan,

if your motors can handle the forces it wil probably work. But i think moving both motors to the front or the back of the seat (like mine setup) is a smarter thing to do.
with this setup each motor will have to provide the motion (thus force) on its own. With my setup both motors push the rig up or pull the rig down. And with sideway motion one motor will pull and the other will push. So they always "help" each other.

My rig runs on two old whiper motors (15 euro's for both). Each motor has a 30A power supply (50 euro's for both). Its very cheapand runs great!

I know what you mean. I just wanted to be pushed against the wheel while braking but rotating together with wheel while turning. That is why I thought about this concept. But I know it has a lot of problems.
