    Hi All

I have finally decided to move up in the world and better my gtOmega pro setup.
I have been racing on the ps3 and ps4 for a few years now but after god knows how many hours looking at peoples set-ups i thought i would just go for it.

After speaking to roadster on here, and looking at other posts I treated myself to 4 hyper-axis 100s and an scn6 40-150. I've been playing about today and working out a few bits with the traction loss side of things so will keep you posted if interested when my bits arrive. im looking forward to getting the project underway.

I will post pics when i have something started and be on the lookout for help through the build.

    cheers all

    jay

Hi mate. I'm totally new to pc gaming. Been looking into monitors and was going to get 1080p but I was informed that the larger the screen the more blurry it would be. I'd happily use 1080p if it works. It's fine on a Playstation on a 55" TV. I'll take all the help, comments and I'm offered. Like I say I'm new to this.

IMO as long as you dont get the Off brand Super cheap crappy screen's you'll be more than happy with 1080, Add in the motion and its even harder to spot the Super fine details on the screens.

Looking at the Phillips 40's...they actually have some Awesome Specs, Displayport Input, Damn Thats impressive. 1000$ locally for me from Bestbuy.

thanks mate. i didnt think the philips 40's are to bad priced for a monitor here in the uk. They are £530 each here. you can pay more than that for a descent tv. I would rather buy these screens and use them in 1080p and upgrade to a more powerful pc with better graphics later down the line. Normally if something in your neck of the woods is a $1000 it end up being a £1000 here so its a pretty good deal.

MAKE sure they are the same panels. Does yours show DP as an input ?

here's a link on what im going off of.

    http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...dm4065uc-silver-black-bdm4065uc/10381634.aspx

How much is a 980 Ti SC or a Titan in the UK ? Amazon.uk reports 605

so 1210 on GPU's and 1650 on panels...damn that will be a nice setup, lol

I've never done it (No 4k to play with) but ive heard of some strange thing's happening when down sampling from 4k to 1080, I would advise a little research on that before deciding on what to do.

I hope the OP has won Lotto ;) and '3 x ps3 networked to run 3 screens with 3 copies of gt5' o_O. Sorry to the OP and just my opinion, but I'll believe all this when I see it in action .

i can see why some people cant be arsed with forums. I came here for advice and get negative comments like the above with rolling eyes and doubting what i have posted. I have no reason to lie at all. for your information you do need 3 ps3s to run gt5 with a triple monitor setup up.

    please see above pictures.
    1. the gt omega seat when my mrs bought it for me
    2. my son playing the 3 screen setup on ps3 gt5 triple screen
    3. my dusty t500 wheel and shifter.
    4. 2 of the 3 ps3 i have found in front of 2 of the 3 lg monitors.

things are not set up at the minute as we have just moved house and building an extension.

in regards to winning the lotto the whole ps3 setup came in at about £1000 which is about £5000 less than im spending on this setup.

there is no need to be rude and i would rather you kept your negative opinions to your self. i shouldnt have to prove my self for being belittled.

Nice set up there man. Well done on the 3 x ps3 . Not sure on screens.
Although I have played on static rigs with triples 27" . But they were computer monitors running Assetto Corsa. I think it was garden variety 5760 x 1080. Game looked pretty good locked at 60fps.

    cheers Rattler.
I like the triple screen set ups personally as it just seems to open it all up for me and give a better gaming experience. 3 ps3's was a right pain in the arse though. each ps3 had to have a coppy of the game running. they all had to be connected to a router and then your had to set up static dns which seemed to change every tim your turned the power off. it used to take me about 10 minutes to set up every time i switched it on which is as bad as a zx spectrum lol. was great when setup though. All this from a man that used to hate driving games as i thought they were boring. I went round a mates who had a driving force gt wheel and gt 5 on the ps3 on release day, had a quick go and went shopping for it.
I cant wait to get this built. I haven't even sorted the new pc yet so am unsure of spec but am now looking at the 980 ti nick moxley was mentioning.

The GTX 980ti is the most powerful card out right now (that I know of, the TitanX does have slightly more grunt but at a very high price point) and it has native 4k HDMI 2.0 (60hz) support out of the box. I am sure you will like it. I run a GTX970 with a single 43" 4k and it looks great. Frame rate is between 45-80 (but still max 60hz) on my games, lovin it. Mine is a cheapo RGBW but looks great to me (See my thread for this old argument, lol). The games that do not do a steady 60+ I scale down to 2556x1440. I can scale my 4k down but I cannot scale my 1080's up :) I actually have both setups; a triple screen 5760x1080 on my driving pit and a 4k single monitor on my flight pit. I am leaning heavily toward replacing the three 32" 1080 TVs with another cheap RGBW 4k 43" TV. I actually do prefer that over the triples using TrackIR.

Ultimately; it is up to you what looks best for you.

Good luck and keep us posted:thumbs
