I've opened a own threat about motorbike simulation. First i was skeptical about building a realistic bike-sim. But getting deeper to this topic i've become inquisitive.
I did find pdf's with dissertations about motorbike simulation.

    Here are the links:
    https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-00515557/document
    https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-00616650/document
    https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-00515559/document

    And a pdf about car-simulation:
    https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-00530381/document

If i have the time i will try to make a animation based on this material.

Cool I am also interested in making one, but I want to build a dirt bike one, any idea?
    thank you

I've made a rough animation of the bikesim in the following PDF:
    https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-00515557/document

It is the model from Fig. 1, but i found that the mechanism with the two actuators and the symmetrical double slider-crank system in fig. 5 is too complicated. I thought about a solution with worm gear motors.

The force feedback steering system will come later.

Also i have a few questions:

Is there a need for traction loss?
    Are there games with TL?
Will there be plugin's for sim-tools with TL?

Plugin developers have to explicitly implement traction loss on a per game basis and it is normally set in SimTools as Extra1, with car games being the main focus so far.

Hi there, I am very interested in building one. Up to know I have been using an old yz80 frame and have build all the controls. I like your design, but could you tell me how and where you would be anchoring bike frame to sim frame and still have roll and pitch. thank you

I propose again here what I wrote on the gp bike plugin discussion:

I'm interested to see the movement in the fold of the bike because seeing this video

I was trying to understand how it works, I thought to two engines arranged under the central one in front of another, then connected together with a structure attached to the bike by the roll effect fold the motorcycle, and with an engine to develop inside the pitch effect.

    Hello luky_90,
    sorry, but i
    1. do not see any pitch effect in the video
    2. notice that the movements of bike and video game output are out of sync
    3. believe that you need very strong motors
    4. can't believe that there is a realistic motorbike feeling because you have always to fight against gravity in curves to not fall off from that "thing"

These movements have nothing to do with any realism.

Not realistic at all, on a motorcycle simulation is very difficult to reproduce the force that is exerted on the driver and movement of the bike.

    Ex:
    - When you turn right, this is the right hand that pushes the Handlebar
    - At all lean in turns, the driver push to the point gravitate like a basket salad spinning and strength centifuge.

To achieve it would PLUSIEUR engines, 6 see to realize all the effects, simtool v2 with possibiliter configure 12 axes will be very intérressant also for this kind of simulator.

I agree does not seem realistic at all, fun though. It does not seem to have any surge at all. I am building one right now for dirt bike mainly, I am using a sega full size motorcycle controller onto which I am adding sim for surge and up and down for wheelies. Anyone has any idea how to control the side motion as of now it is done by simple gravity, I would like to make it more realistic, thank you
