    My Motion Simulator:
DC motor, Arduino, Motion platform, 4DOF
    Hi all !

My DIY 2DOF motion simulator is using
    - Arduino UNO (I will share my code very soon, I need to clean it before :p)
    - Sabertooth 2x25
    - DC motor Smolka 24V

    I am using a G25, a TH8RS and a DIY handbrake (plugged on my G25 shifter)

My screen is either a videoprojector or an Oculus rift DK2.

    Here is a picture :

And here are videos I recorded (it was not using SimTools) but you can see how it works :
Presentation of my motion simulator :

Using videoprojector (super fov, scale 1:1) :

I also wrote that I am building a new motion simulator low cost (less than 450€ !!), very easy to build and I will publish a complete tutorial soon (in french first) :

And a video from it running Elite Dangerous (using SimTools !!) :

FYI : I am working on the project to make motions on a sport video I recorded (ski, MTB, etc...), and I will use this platform below :

If you have questions or want more photos, please do not hesitate I would be happy to share my knowledge with you!

Thanks for sharing your sim and projects @Wanegain.

I am guessing you plan on recording a motion sequence to match the video then sync them in playback, is that right?

I am recording data using an Android device (smartphone) and recording the video with a GoPro (or another cam). The app is working (but needs more development)... My big problem is the software. I hope SimTools will help me to do that and be compatible with my oculus rift ^^

I am still not sure I have my head around what you are trying to do but a new joystick plugin has just been developed for SimTools and that may be useful if you are trying to create a motion sequence: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/joystick-plugin.127/

I am also not sure how you plan on creating the VR environment for the Rift, perhaps you can elaborate further.

    Hi @Wanegain
    Nice project of yours!
There is a Video Ride Editor and a Video Ride Player available. Ask @yobuddy about it ;)
