    :hi:
I was wondering if it is possible to change the head-camera position in DIRT 3.
For rFactor I just have to edit the cockpit config for each car and done!
I tryed it for GRID, I found the config file but nothing happens.

So I searched on google and found one GRID MOD for it (I did not download/file removed or something).

For DIRT 3 (downloading...and will take a loooong time to end) I think it will be problematic aswell.

Another good mod would be to increase the speed/density of rain drops on windshield, since I do not see any trouble to drive under heavy rain.

Bleco told about this tyre grip reducer mod that sounds good.

    Hi,

To edit the different cams or any other xml file in Dirt 3 you will need the binary xml converter tool that you can find here with the instructions on how to use it:

    modding-camera-files-in-f1-2010-t2688.html

You can use the same tool for for Grid, Dirt123, F1 2010 ...

The Cockpit cams looks horrible to me ... You will need to mod the camera.xml files cointained in each car folders under:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dirt 3\cars\models

You will be able to adjust several camera parameters like the FOV and driver seat position.

Please share if you obtain good results ... I will take some time also to look at what can be done ...

Yes very nice tool! The game is cool aswell...
But would be better if the head-camera could go 10-20 inch forward to get out of the backseat.
    But fov adjust helped alot!
    regards!

You can adjust the seat position with the binary xml converter tool ... But you need to mod the camera.xml file of each car ...

Does anybody know if there is a possibility to activate the trackir support in external view too?
It works perfectly fine in the cockpit cam, but not in the other cameras.

    Please Help!

Well, i know there was a camera mod for nfs shift free cam mod that allowed to use trackir from every perspective. That's why i hoped there will be something similar for Dirt 3.
