One of the great things about Assetto Corsa is mods and when it comes to recommendations for mods those of @Nick Moxley are a great place to start, as he liaises with modders to encourage great motion simulation to match unique mods as am official 'factory test driver', like here: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...enigsegg-one-1-wip-phys-sounds-complete.6830/

It would be great if members can add their own car, track and utility mod recommendations to this thread, or examples of great mods in action.

This is a list of recommended mods from @Nick Moxley to kick things off, including WIPs:

    Ferrari 248
    VS 3.5
    WIP Konigsegg One:1
    WIP Jordan 191
    WIP Ferrari 2002
    IER Oreca and Daytona Prototype
    Mazda 787 From Patrick
    Corvette C6R from URD

And Any of the Old FCM aka Formula Corsa Mods, will work. but without updates to current spec of AC, dont feel like they are supposed to or how we maintained them back when FCM was still around.

    FW31, FW37, W06, GP2, FF1,

As for tracks, well 99% of mod tracks Suck ballz for motion, and aren't worth even the space on the HD. But there's at least 1 I know has surface detail and ive worked a little bit with ir Sindaco the creator to ensure we keep that level of quality and only improve upon it.

LuccaRing would be my #1 mod track. Tiago's Lemans would be my #2 despite being flat as a pancake. lmp cars and the Old Group C cars are a blast to drive around with the AI.

For my Official testing tracks, I use Monza and SPA mainly, Both have Incredible surface mesh details that we rely on for our heave, Yes some full frame rigs might not be able to access said Surface detail, but overall the Laser scanned Kunos tracks Dont disappoint. I will use other tracks pending the mod im working on. But for the most part For Official testing i stick to Vanilla content.

ONE fair warning. Stowe Corner @ Silverstone on certain F1 cars can be a neck wrencher.

I can highly recommend the sound mods from a guy named Fonsecker. The BMW M3 GT2 sound he did is especially nice.
    Brilliant stuff.

With the new FFB it would be better to reset all to 100% and start from scratch. I did so, and almost had to leave it that way, it was almost perfect the way it is now

i used it again with the new release of AC and most of the cars i played needed some fix in the FFB.
you can use the ffbclip app without testing your wheel with wheelcheck to see whats going with your FFB in game.
in previous version of AC you could change your FFB settings in pits with a slider and save it as a setup for that track(my previous setups wont work anymore ) ,now we dont have this option anymore but we can change FFB force while playing with the + and - buttons on the numpad and saves it for that car for every track

    Attention gentlemen,

After playing with 1.3 content for a while and Loving every minute of it. I got a chance to try out some of the OLD FCM stuff and Unfortunately i have some bad news, Its broken BIG time and Likely wont be fixed any time soon. There's Some DRASTIC physics/Suspension/tire changes in AC that have severely broken the cars. I can No Longer suggest them as Quality motion due to the Ever changing AC engine.

Maybe One day Ed aka Burrito and Misterbeam will get around to fixing them, but with the dismantling of FCM and the way it happened, Its not likely the cars will get the Lovin they used to on updates.

So with that note, I DO NOT suggest wasting too much time in the Old FCM content. Its a Shame as 1000's of hours were put into those models and its all for not Due to some Egotistical team Manager. *F you CC you prick

On a side note, the VS3.5 is also SEVERELY affected by the 1.3 update and NO longer has the INSANE detail on the default setup, It has some heave detail but as i watch the Virtual Axis and Feel the Funny twitched in the suspension, It feels like its in Analog mode. the twitch in the + range of motion and the Twitch in the - range of motion is very abruptly changing and again feels VERY VERY VERY awkward. Karim aka Misterbeams Fix is still the technical solution for the time being. But at least the VS boys will get it sorted in due time. They have A lof of projects that need updating and I will be Sure to inform you guys when that happens.

Catch ya on the Black top boys. :cheers

I can imagine how could you all feel after investing so much time into that project.
I haven't exactly understood who's to blame for this.

Its AC to technically blame, But the Overall improvement in the Core of the engine makes it worth it. With each update we've been able to further develop the cars with unique tid bits of Data that might not have been possible in previous versions. My guys are running around with their heads cut off at the moment trying to understand the new build features and improvements. It'll take some time, but we'll get it sorted im sure. 1.3 definitely messes with gearing and Aero BIG time, so there's stupid amounts of testing that needs doing to bring them back to their previous glory. (Non FCM content included)

Also a Little inside info, The FCM content might not be updated "physics wise" (if you keep up on the FCM thread) but My Suspension guy is 100% dedicated to getting the FCM stuff BACK on top where it belongs and will be addressing what we can to ensure the W06, Fw31, Fw37 and a few other's get the Lovin they deserve. Ill keep you all posted.

ALSO FYI the Physics Rate got a wee bump after all the talks we had with Stefano in regards to the Update rate and the Further improvements in Multi threaded physics. This directly allowed them to bump the rate up a bit. so we've bumped from 333hz to 350hz.
