Hi, everybody! Not so long ago I thought of creation of a platform for imitation of the motorcycle.

But in addition, I also with pleasure would play a simulator an avia or a car.

Whether there are still no companies which make modular platforms? Or may be someone participants of a forum who tried to create something similar are here?

It would be perhaps interesting to have a frame, with in advance prepared places of fastenings for motors. It is possible to begin with 2DOF, and then to buy in addition motors and to increase quantity of degrees of freedom.

That is, having played in autothis, it is possible to remove a chair and to put another, and also to attach necessary fastenings for the input equipment of other look.

I attach poll, such project would be interesting?

Imo you should build a Basic 2dof seat mover first, Then move on to more complaicated projects once you have a grasp on the concepts and what is possible and what is NOT possible with our hardware/software.

Simulating a motorbike and a car are radically different things.

When you say modular I presume that means some commonality like a frame. But I would needs to see some sort of plan of what that would look like as that frame needs to be engineered for two very different purposes.

I would suggest that if you want to experiment with radical ideas the first come up with a plan and then build a working model of it: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/build-a-working-model-to-test-your-design-ideas.216/
