Hi all, Just getting into electronics and the arduino and thought this to be a great new project. Just how hard is it to get these thigs setup? I have acsess to some actuators at motors as I work for a company that repairs Electiric wheels chairs and lifting hoist.

There are members here who have successfully built motion simulators despite starting with no electronic or mechanical skills and they have taught themselves to weld and wire up a motion simulator.

There is a lot of information available, check out the FAQs: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

Sure no problem, PM me when you plan to be on the East Coast.

You can build a killer motion sim at about a third the cost of the Next Level commercial sims, and have far more game plugins, over 70 the last time I counted.

Best not to ask unrelated questions on another member's thread.

Yes 20nm will work for a compact seat shaker but I changed the gearboxes to more than double the ratio, plus run an adjustable heave spring to take the load in its current form, which is 3DOF.
