Yes changes are quiet amazing when you go into the details, they just don't sound right, but must be a pleasure to listen to on the track instead of the ear piercing scream they use to be.

Might not be sims, but great that people take time to share what they find may be interesting to others.

    Really cool animation! 8 gears?!

Although I'm a F1 fan, it seems to me the aerodynamics of the cars makes the racing a lot less interesting than it could be. The cars run best in clean air, and whenever someone gets close behind another car, the car doesn't handle well and the tires get trashed quickly. That discourages extended head-to-head battles. Even with the DRS, it makes it very hard to pass. Personally I would like to see the DRS go away and instead have the cars redesigned to have a drafting advantage instead of disadvantage. Indy cars are helped by the draft and are relatively similar to F1, but I'm not sure if that only applies to the high speed ovals, and maybe not road courses?

Here is the design for 2017. The plan is to make the cars faster and more challenging. Seems like a good move to me, if it works. But the larger cars might make passing even harder than it is now.
