Hi all, Keroppi here from USA.
I had been a little active a few years ago, and getting into the hobby again.
I have an original Rock N Ride chair using Velleman K8055 interface (pulse digital output) that I would like to use with SimTools. earobbie and his excellent contribution have offered to help modify his K8055 plugin, I am so excited!
I also have the basics and frame of an old arcade I intend to modify for motion sim #2, as well as unfinished Thanos pcbs to use. I will post a project page(s) soon!
Thank you all at this wonderful community, the most devotion I have EVER seen to a hobby!

Hi everyone. I'm Arie from Michigan, USA. I'm looking to build my first racing SIM. I'd like to do a 2DOF + Traction Loss. I'm an electrical engineer by trade so I'm not too worried about the electronics portion of the build, but I have virtually no metalworking experience. Has anyone had any luck building wood frames? I've been reading a lot of the threads and theres SO much good info. I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of research before I begin my build. I'm really looking forward to getting started.

    Thanks merchan-e!

I am very excited to (hopefully) try SimTools finally, thanks to earobbie. I have previously been stuck using "that software which shall not be named" due to the K8055 board runing my pneumatics. SimTools overall seems MUCH more user friendly, and supports many more games.

I will make project pages soon, not only for the RnR chair I have that will become a flight only chair, but also a driving sim, which I hope to do a strange combination of motors and a pneumatic air balloon for vibration/heave. (it is the husk of an arcade, an already has the air balloon inbuilt)

The final project must be a proper 6 DoF sim from scratch, but I must work up to such things.

    Welcome @Andrea 1968.

By all means post in your native language but please do also include an English translation via Google Translate. It saves other members time trying to work out who may need help and who is just posting a comment. We have bi-lingual speakers from many different language group so if Google Translate really messes it up they can help clarify what was intended.

That look s like a really interesting simulator you have there. Please start a thread here and tell us all a little more about it so members can advise how to set it up for use with SimTools: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Accoglienza @Andrea 1968.
