OK, Here is what is going on. I set up my system to operate from "TWO" computers using the IP Address along with a Crossover Cable. All seemed to work very well until I tried or should I say attempted to use the DCS Plugin. The game says that I am connected (both manager and engine) however when the game loads I am not able to get any motion. When I do the same thing using FSX, all works well, just like it is suppose to work. What the hell is going on. I tried a new patch , I reloaded the program, I reset my default, nothing??? Any ideas out their??

Double check the patch install path, as DCS is different to most games and should be C:/Users/Your User Name/Saved Games/DCS

I learned that the hard way.

I not only Doubled checked the Install Path, I Tripled checked it. All is good. If I don't use the IP Address and crossover cable configuration, I can get DCS to work with motion, however nothing else (i.e. Helios,EMC) works.??

Did you patch the game before or after you setup the 2 pc configuration.
You may need to just unpatch and re-patch the game.

I did both, after I setup the configuration I did a re-patch. Still is not working. I just ran the game (DCS) and turned on the tuning center, set to DCS, cleared and set to recapture. it seemed to connect (turned blue) ran the game with NO motion, checked tuning center, NO DATA??
I don't know what to do next??

Have you been able to get any games to work with the 2 PC setup?

A quick note to the above, I connected my computers to a "T" using Ceresoli's post #13 in TUTORIAL, "How to set-up a Dual-PC. please take a look. On the Game computer (windows-7) I posted the configuration set up for IP Address. It is somewhat different that that on Windows XP. I know that they (the two computers) talk to each other using the crossover cable. Like I said FSX works well

Can I confirm that if you put them together the color patterns at each end of the Ethernet cable do not match up.

I was not suggesting you made the cable @terry wells, I was thinking of a simple way to verify the cable as part of the troubleshooting.

I am sorry I put it the way I did. I really thought that you meant (did I make it) because if I had there was a very good chance I made a mistake. Yes I did check to make sure that the colors were reversed and they were. Thank You for trying to help me out with this.

Seems that I have been trying everything and nothing is working. Anyway I think the problem is in the PATCH. Why does Sims Tools want the user/saved games/DCS for the patch? My game is not patched that way and all applications for the game to run is in the Bin Folder which is not part of the User/Saved Games/DCS. I did copy/paste the bin folder into the saved games/DCS folder and that did not work either. take a look at my patching.

I don't know if this will be helpful but you should be able to check if DCS is exporting data or not.

BlazinH I believe you are right, where can I find these log files? Before DCS World I would not have a problem, but now???

The documentation just says look in ./Temp/Error.log so I assume it would be somewhere in the folder where you installed DCS World. I have not used DCS myself since Flaming Cliffs 2. I believe they have changed where they put those files since then so I cannot check. Here’s a link if you want to research for yourself. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/dev_journal/lua-export/

Thank you for the address but I don't I am computer savvy enough to do that. I figured that if this web site (X SIMULATOR) said the their program (Game Plugin) was able to connect with DCS that all computed programing was done by them? Guess not.
    Thank you

Of course then necessary changes to program files should be carried out by Simtools when you patch a game to enable motion so a novice doesn't have to do it for themselves. But since DCS has a built in way to test if motion output is enabled, I was merely suggesting a way to look and see if the simtools DCS plugin was at least enabling motion output from DCS.

totaly understand what you are saying and I really appericate the help that I have been getting with "my problems". My wife came down to my game room (basement) and said the room looked like a Home Land Security JOC. with all the computers connected to everything. I need to hammed these problems out now one at a time. Thanks again
