merci Insanegr en effet, les deux châssis sont des échelles en alu pliée et rivetée
la partie supérieur a été renforcée par des renforts acier pour compenser le poids des écrans

If SimTools install correctly then the updater shortcut should be in your menu under SimTools.

Double check the direct location, which is: C:\Program Files (x86)\SimTools\SimTools_PluginUpdater.exe

If it is not there then something is not correct with the SimTools install, so you should do a reinstall @bebert.

Welcome @claps67 and thanks so much for sharing the video of your motion simulator.

If you can please start a new thread and add some details about its construction, actuators and control system, many members here would be most interested.

    Great job.

    Hello All,

My name is Adam and i am in Phoenix AZ. I have had my eye on a 2 DOF motion sim for quite some time now but i am just now getting around to registering and posting. I currently run the IT dept for a solar lead generator and game in my spare time. I like flight sims and driving sims and i have a good amount of peripherals to aid my passion. I have already purchased an Arduino board and a Monster Moto to follow RacingMatts guide and after i complete it i would like to move on to 3 and 4 DOF.

Hi! I'm new here.. I have no knowledge in robotics, actuators, housing, power management etc etc.. I want to build a good 2dof simulator that does not take up so much space at home.. I'm hoping someone can give me a step by step guide on everything I need.. Everything from housing, metal or wood to the small things like circuit boards, how to connect them and the engines themseves etc..

When the time is right and I have moved in to a new apartment, I might create a thread requesting these informations in hopes of getting help from skilled robot-builders :)

    Welcome @Adam A.

Welcome @Kim R, glad you have followed on from Reddit and decided to check out motion simulation, I trust you won't be disappointed.

Welcome @Tiobel, you have come to the right place to find out about motion simulators and you will also find members here are very active and give freely of their time and expertise.

Do check out existing member projects for ideas and inspiration: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

The FAQ section gives a good overview of key elements of building a motion simulator: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

When you are ready start a new build thread of your own and ask lots of questions, even in the planning phase. You will find plenty of support from members here that saves you a lot of time, money and angst.

@Kim R, if you specifically are interested in compact simulators then you may want to check out @bsft's Desk Racer: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/desk-racer-2-dof.91/
