Thanks heaps @noorbeast just from my first impressions people seem really supportive of everyone's designs and efforts. Looking for to planning my build, and thanks again.

Hi y'all guys! this is my first post in this forum but I am not new... I registered about one year ago and I have reading lot here... and testing the software.

the motion simulation idea has been in my mind since 2007... a friend of mine shared with me a youtube video of a home made simulator made by a greek guy that also had a webpage with tutorials and stuff to accomplish the project... I took a closer look, tried the software but in that time I found it difficult to accomplish. The funny thing is that guy I think is the same one that wirites in this forum, am I right @tronicgr?

After that the idea was in my mind, but I had no time work in the project, but NOW I am decided to build a 2dof sim! and eventualy i will do the lose traction improvement. I already got the arduino and the Hbridge motor board.
I am loking on ebay USA for the DC motors if any of you have any recomendations of tested 12v 30A DC motos, please let me know where to get them. I want a rude sim, smash my face in the wheel when braking and feel the kick when shifting up... hahaha

I will keep you updated with my work!

    Best regards from Mexico

hello @Juandi , best google tronics blogspot and ask about his controllers there, even though they are highly overpriced.
Otherwise, welcome and have fun building.

@noorbeast I am thinking in a shoulder seat movers and eventually I will build traction loss frame! Which gear ratio do you think that will fit best? 50:1 or 25:1? I am about to buy them!

@bsft I already got the arduino and H-bridge shield also I got JRKs! I found them cheap, so I am going to try both. I think that here is all the documentation that I would ever need.

    @value1
yeap! you are rigth about sim tools, when I tried the software couple of months ago I realized that this time I will be able to build my own sim!
    Thanks!!

Both would work @Juandi and members here have had good success with both. However, if it were me I would go with the 50:1 as they should have metal instead of plastic parts inside and would have more grunt if you have hefty users of your sim.

I have a different design of sim and have just upgraded my gearboxes from 25:1 to 60:1 which I much prefer, as the sim can hold weight even when not powered, which the 25:1 can't.

    Welcome @meo_udon.

Do you have a particular type of motion simulator or project you are interested in? You will find a huge diversity here of different types of motion simulators that members have built.

    Great stuff @meo_udon!

Please create a new build forum thread and also include some pictures and details about your existing motion platform, as there would be members here who would be most interested.

Hi guys, great forum! Greetings from Argentina.
I've been reading a lot for some months and getting ready to start building a 2dof, already got some parts and still deciding on the rest, so I hope I would get some help in the near future.
    BTW, Merry Christmas!

    Welcome @mariano68.

As you are already getting started on your build please do start your own build thread and post what you are doing and what you already have. Members can the give plenty of advice and encouragement and you can ask any questions you have along the way.

New member here from the US, just want to introduce myself here before I start posting. I have been reading these forums for the past few days doing a lot of searching and reading loads of good information. I have been sim racing for the past 3 year and it has slowly evolved into something bigger than I could have thought. I am now to the point where I would like to introduce motion to the sim to take it to the next level and make it more realistic and fun!
