I got a hold of a buddy who does Professional video stuff, so if he cant make the rig look good Im at a loss as to how to get some quality video from my dark poorly lit room.

ive tried a few times with buddy's cameras, GoPro, Handheld HD cam and Nothing would come out clean and crisp enough for me.

So i wanted a 2nd monitor to adjust Simtools and Have a LARGE App diplay for telemetry and other stuff so After realizing i didn't want to run a 2nd 20'+ HDMI downstairs and effect my Overall Screen setup (mirror of my Desktop) I found this little guy on Ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-3-0-to-...=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item233d480f3a

Hooked it up and Whamo, Extended monitor. Didn't effect my Normal Mirrored screen and even allows me to use landscape or portrait mode and make a few more adjustments.

Next issue came as to where/how to mount the screen. I Looked at my Articulating TV mount on my big screen and thought, Pssh I can build that.

So here it is my own Custom Mount, Not Super pretty, but 99.9% of the time you dont see it at all.

and what the final product looks like,

Made to measure...who cares what it looks like as long as it is solid and does the job :thumbs

Your sim is an impressive sight tucked away in its corner. I am looking forward to seeing the video of it in action when you can manage to get some footage.

Ok so Slight issue with one of my Power supplies, After much testing and screwing around ive determined One of the seat Supplies Isn't up to snuff and is Falling short on Big Impacts Causing Simtools to Crash, So to take advantage of a little RC racing trip im doing Down South next weekend, I ordered up a pair of these bad boys to replace my 600's, Greatest thing is Shipping is Free and they fall Well Within my "Duty Free Limit" So 20$ is a Drop in the bucket and lets hope its a Simple PS issue and nothing else.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-DL360-G5...01-/381001054632?ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:CA:3160

EDIT Turns out the PSU's weren't at fault and it was something else yet to be Pin pointed. But have a firm workaround for the time being till V2.

Cheap enough to have extra PSUs as 'spares'.

Looking sweet man. I'm starting to design my next frame and I'm really wanting to add drift. How does it feel compared to your 2dof setup? Trying to decide if the extra work and money is worth adding the 3rd axis :)

Let us know how those new beefy power supplies work, you can't beat that price.

I cant suggest the 3rd axis enough, I think i summed it up on the last page after my VERY first time with it On, but here it is again.

Ok So finally got a day to play with the Traction Loss, Holy POOP!!!!!!! This is IMO More of a WOW experience than going from Static to a 2Dof seat mover. I built it to have 4" movement either side, At Full Stroke the motor Seriously snaps the neck if the cars Whipping back and forth, So much that In Crashes I found myself letting go of the wheel. Holding the Belts at my chest and "Bracing" for the impact.

The Overall Feeling of Not so much the Actual Rear end stepping Out, As there's Not a Game on this planet that actually outputs a "Traction loss" axis. Therefor the Software is left to its code thats been written to do what it does and IMO Simtools hit the nail on the Head. The feeling of Weight transfer, the feeling of the Tires squirming over, the VIOLENT snap when it kicks you is all there and i couldn't ask for much more. Looking at "other" softwares Traction loss setup's sometimes Dont looks at All to be Correct But then again that does all Boil down to the particular profile. Overall Im Super Duper impressed with the mod and If you have a seat mover i cant suggest this enough.

I can only agree to what Nick says, what a joy to drive with the traction loss, only problem is to find time to race hahah ;)

So i picked up a Pair of DSP-700pb 700w 56A PSU's, for 20$ shipped, Turns out they don't have any Fan's to cool them(Obviously the Server itself handles the cooling of the PSU's)

So i went to the PC store and figured 2 40mm fans would fit nice with the PSU's stacked on top of each other, but soon realized that Small 40mm fan's don't push the most CFM per $$, So i opted for a Single 80mm and essentially sealed the 2 PSU's together and made a shroud to Force the air through the PSU, Essentially Identical to my 600pb's which have NEVER even felt Warm to the touch after a long session.

Ok Next Big revelation, I have a buddy of a Buddy who Just got a Oculus dev2, So Ill be getting a chance to have a go in the rig with it. I'll need to know if there's anything setup wise ill need to worry about or Maybe if my GFX card is even up to the Task which is a 660Ti 2gb.
