Does anyone know if I can use sim tools with a stage 1 set up using the sc3000 box for the control interface. Don't have a licence sorted yet for sim commander. Bought stage 1 2nd hand.

    Hi Imeleon,

    Welcome to XSimulator.net

Although I cannot help you I know some folks who might. You could try to PM Yobuddy, Value1 or Eaorobbie. They are Simtools developers and might know how to help you.

Why did you not get the license info when you bought, curious? Not sure what good it will do them. I know they dont sell just the software unless you ge simvibe, i have it, but it doesnt have the motion avail. Beta 4 is out now though and might add an option or purchase. I would contact Bernie at simxperience and see if he can help.

I didn't get the licence from the guy as he lost all his emails from berney with the codes on. He has since found one so I now have it all up and running. Did speak to Berney and he was sorting out a transfer, I was just getting impatient to try the motion hence why I thought of running sim tools. Which I would still like to know if it is possible with Berneys board as like bsft says sim tools supports more games so nice to have the option there.
    Thanks for response.

But the question still remains can the simtools software run the sx3000 control box that comes with a simxperience set up.
Or would I need to build a new box with a different board in there.

I believe some people have gotten it to work.
I see no reason why it would not work.

I would just try sim tools with it. I just didn't want to fry the board in the sx3000 if thats even possible.
I'll do the research here on making another unit to go with simtools anyway.

    Hi everybody,

I do have also SimXperience SC3000 running flawless with SimTools. Was not brainer actually and once you setup your SCNs works basically out of the box. I did not use it much but setup was pretty much a 5 minute job. I believe both softwares have there ups and downs and I am happy to use both in the end. It is true that SimTools support in the moment a couple of more games but we are talking about SimCommander 3 during 4 is going to come soon and support much more things. On the other hand the UI and final use of SimCommander is much better as SimTools. I think it comes all down to personal preferences and how much you want to get involved. SimCommander is easy, fast, not much tweaking or config needed during SimTools gives you way more space to configure more personal and adjust details.

In the end it is great to have both :)

Thanks for the replies. Good to know SC3000 works with simtools as there are a few games extra that I would like to have motion in.
Oh and I forgot to check back in here once I got the licence sorted for simcommander. So sorry for the late Thank you.
    Off to get simtools now.

I tried getting this to work with my SX4000 and am not having any luck

    http://www.xsimulator.net/community...eries-with-sx3000-controller.5727/#post-60204

I followed those directions and have tried many other combinations, but I get nothing. No error from the simtools software, nothing. I see the actuators in device manager, but I still cannot get anything to move.

Can someone please help me out? Thanks!

EDIT: I have an SX4000, in case that matters
