    Hey guys

I do not write any explanation how to get overclocked your PC, there are many sources you will find any information about your configuration. Honestly I advise you to check out the potential of overclocking before you will buy any new hardware.
That said a few years ago I bought one of the first I7 @ 2.6 GHz CPUs and one of the (formerly) best motherboards, the EX58-Extreme from Gigabyte plus a GeForce GTX 670 (meanwhile SLI). While new CPUs and graphic boards are way faster, my system is @ not yet outdated. Doom4, AC in surround 3D Vision - all games are playable at high resolutions.

Agree, and before buying a new cpu, a thing to think about are the new nvidia pascal 1080. http://www.nvidia.es/graphics-cards/geforce/pascal/gtx-1080/
With a not too old pc and this graphic card you could run every game on the market.
And if you finally decided to change in the future to a new pc, you could re-use this graphic card on the new one.

BTW Assetto Corsa unfortunately is one of the cpu hungry games. The fps scale especially with higher Cpu frequency. On the other hand more the cores you have the better the performance.

BTW today I am off and still a little time for testing, so I got these results so far:

This gives me hopes that only thing I need to ugrade is my graphics then..
I have X5560 CPU (the same 1366 socket) which shows only 25-30 utilization during AC gameplay. But my GPU is 560Ti which is outperformed obviously..

25-30 utilization during AC gameplay is an clear bottleneck indication of the graphic board. As faster the graphic board as more utilization of the CPU, but as faster the CPU still more CPU utilization :) This sounds paradox because older CPUs show high utilization when playing newer games. Your Xeon is not overclocked I assume?

Weird :) But I assume that with faster GPU the CPU will still be usable (higher utilization I understand), right?
CPU is 2,8GHz standard with auto clock to 3,16 but I have never played much with overclocking (yet :))

If your Xeon is sticked on a consumer (gamer) motherboard no problems to be expected to overclock, the server motherboards do not offer any @.

But if i understand it no point to overclock CPU now until faster GPU(graphics is the bottleneck now)

Yes and no, if you like MP races you can profit from the faster cpu even if the graphic card is the bottleneck.

The money you ultimately spend in components good enough to be overclocked, and the cooler method (hardware) needed, end up been not worth the money.
The difference in real life games at a 24/7 stable overclocked system its usually no more than 5fps.
I used to make phase change cooling units a decade ago, I think I still keep the overclock world record of a Newcastle 3000 in Xtreme Systems (lol yeah still mine, just checked :p )
Anyway, I think that anyone with an i5 or i7 from any gen doesn't need to change cpu, just to get a decent GPU makes magic.

I overclock my i5 6600, but that is not because of gaming. It is for processing for photogrametry, so far it crashes out on the GPU so I run the jobs on the CPU, it is intensive and takes days.

I don't race MP as I'm fairly slow and don't want to invest so much time in training(couple of years ago I was half-decent in Gran Turismo, placed 11th in GT Academy in my country) as I like to build my rig;) So what next now? Newer GPU or jrk? (I guess know the answer)
