@noorbeast Can you explain why this needs to be done before I can see that my game is sending data? Does tuning centre not show incoming game data until the output is setup and working?

In case others have this issue I have resolved it after a lot of searching. I deleted the DCS config in c:\user\(yourPCname)\AppData\Local\SimTools\GameManager\GamePathSaves. I redid the patch and now all seems to be working. No idea how that helped! Thanks to all who offered advice.

Now that I have confirmed movement on virtual axis I will proceed with connecting to my seat.

The fix above was on my laptop which I use for testing. I just tried again on my game PC and still can't get any data to appear in tuning centre. This is so frustrating.

-All software installed and run with admin privileges on the same PC.
-Windows firewall and anti virus off.
-Tried a port exemption setup for the plugin.
-Confirmed path is correct for patch.
-Game manager says game is running.
-Changed permissions to 'allow' for DCS and SimTools.
-Confirmed . decimal separator in language settings.
-Confirmed the export.lua script is in the correct location in saved games\dcs\scripts folder
    -Deleted the config and repatched.

Running windows 7 64bit. SOMETHING is blocking communication but I've no idea what else to check.

If anyone has any ideas where the issue may be please post suggestions.

I am guessing this is the only plugin you are using. So I suggest you start from scratch, as it is some misconfiguration.

    First unpatch the game.

Then delete the SimTools folder in C:\Users\Your_User_Name\AppData\Local\

Then reinstall the plugin and redo the settings and patching carefully.

@noorbeast thanks I've already tried that and even gone as far as uninstalling SimTools including folders in appdata\local and reinstalling.

Does SimTools require the 'axis assignments' and 'interface settings' tabs to be completed in game engine before tuning centre will display the incoming game data? if so that may be where I've messed up.

Yes it does and I explained in an earlier post how to test without a simulator: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/dcs-plugin-outdated.6606/page-2#post-105087

    Hi there
Since a few months my game engine crashes as soon as I start DCS (1.5 and 2.1)
This morning I updated my simtools to 2.1 and repatched dcs ... same problem -> starting DCS -> game engine Crashs

When I turn the game manager to "off" the engine will run , but turn it back to "on" , the engine crashs instandly

    Someone with a similar problem?
